Most cruise ships at Rotterdam dock for 8–12 hours. A few patterns worth knowing for shore day planning:

Where does my cruise ship dock in Rotterdam?
All cruise ships dock at Rotterdam Cruise Terminal on Wilhelminapier, at Wilhelminakade 699. The terminal is a 5-minute metro ride or 20-minute walk from Rotterdam city centre. Metro line D (Wilhelminaplein station) runs directly to Rotterdam Centraal.
